NYA Anti-Plagiarism workshop

The Nigerian Young Academy (NYA) has been actively addressing the issue of plagiarism in academic research through a series of anti-plagiarism workshops. These workshops aim to raise awareness about the dangers of plagiarism, educate researchers on ethical practices, and promote integrity in scholarly work.

The inaugural anti-plagiarism workshop was held on February 5, 2018, at Covenant University, Ota, attracting a record 350 participants.

Subsequent workshops have been organized across various institutions, including:

December 10, 2018: African University for Science and Technology (AUST), Abuja.
August 26, 2019: Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
February 9, 2022: Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic, Zaria, focusing on technical paper writing and anti-plagiarism.
November 16-17, 2022: University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

These workshops are part of NYA's broader commitment to fostering excellence and integrity in research among young academics in Nigeria.
